As we think of LBSNAA, vivid images usually spring to mind: bustling classrooms, vibrant cultural evenings, and enlightening field visits. But I wish to share the side that no one talks about - The quiet evenings in your room , a perfect time for reading, reflecting and learning.

For the aspirants and future civil servants- always find time for yourself and the things you love because that is what you carry forward outside the gates of The Academy. There will be times during the preparation and after the selection where you might want to please others due to the social pressure. Don’t be a victim to FOMO. Give yourself the time to think and cherish what you like. Your personal time is invaluable. Be wise!

Here is a poem, that I composed for LBSNAA magazine

In my room, where the hills stand tall,
My desk, a quiet friend, sees it all.
A safe space after classes roar,
Here I find peace and much more.

The day ends, and the sky puts on a show,
Colors dance, and my worries go slow.
At this desk, with a book in hand,
I travel far from this demanding land.

The academy teaches us to speak and lead,
But in this quiet, I find what I truly need.
A moment to think, to simply be,
This desk, my anchor, sets my spirit free.

The sun dips low, my room glows warm,
This desk, through storms, is my calm.
Here I prepare for another day,
With the sunset's promise leading the way.

A simple ode to my quiet place,
In this busy world, it’s my saving grace.
At this desk, I come back to me,
It’s where I rest, think, and just breathe.

P.S. That's the actual view from my LBSNAA desk
